Curriculum

We follow the national curriculum known as "The Early Years Foundation Stage"
This covers the Six Area’s of Learning and our Nursery Environment aims to encourage

Knowledge and Understandig of the World

This is concerned with the process of exploration, of finding out more about the world in which we live in and to make sense of it in a logical and coherent way. It is about the constant search for ways and means to extend and enhance our powers to control events and order our environment

Communication Langauage and Literacy

This is concerned with supporting and extending Children’s command of speaking and listening, reading, writing. Language is central in a Child’s development. It is through language that Children formulate and express their thoughts. Language, both written and spoken enables a Child to explain themselves and interact with others, it is by using language that Children can interpret their experiences, organise their thinking and attempt to make sense of the world around them.

Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy

This is concerned with the way a Child views and makes sense of the world. It is also the material and the means of creating new imaginative worlds to explore; it involves number, space and shape. Measures, time, weight, length, capacity, pattern symmetry and positional relationships
