Daily Timetable

The day consists of a balance that combines both group and individual activities that are delivered both within the setting and outdoors. Throughout the day the children have time for independent exploration; Toddlers Inn has a wide range of resources and activities to encourage learning through play.

All aspects of the day are design to contribute to your children’s development and learning.

Toddlers Inn Nurery School offers sessional care between the hours of 8:45 - 3:30, for chidren between the ages of two and five years. 

Our session times are;
Morning Session: 8:45 – 12:00

Morning and Lunch: 8:45 – 1:00
All Day: 8:45 – 3:30
Afternoon: 1:00 – 3:30

 


 

8:45 – 9:15

Staff members set up the nursery with activities ready for when children arrive, often choosing toys and messy play activities to put out on the tables for children to play with. Toddlers Inn has a wide range of toys and resources to encourage learning through play, ensuring that children can play both independently and with their peers. 

 




 

9:15 – 9:40

Group time is an important scheduled part of the day for all our children. It provides the opportunity for key teachers to build a bond with their group while also developing and promoting positive behaviour. Group time provides multiple opportunities;
• Getting to know one another
• Building trust
• Group learning
• Feeling a sense of belonging
• Sharing experiences
• Building confidence and pride in ourselves

 




 

9:40 – 10:30

Adult and Child led activities within 7 areas of learning: A core aspect of our curriculum is our termly topics, with children participating in activities that link with the topic throughout the day. Adult led activities allow children to participate in activities that they would otherwise not be able to carry out alone; these activities include cooking and arts and crafts.

Adult led activities enable children to learn new skills and concepts and help language development through communication with staff and their peers.

Child led activities support Children’s independence, confidence, imagination, critical thinking and putting into practice their learning.

 




 

10:30 – 10:45

The children enjoy a variety of fruits and vegetables, promoting healthy eating and helping children understand aspects of health and self-care as part of the 7 areas of learning.

 




 

10:45 – 11:50

Adult and Child led activities within 7 areas of learning: A core aspect of our curriculum is our termly topics, with children participating in activities that link with the topic throughout the day. Adult led activities allow children to participate in activities that they would otherwise not be able to carry out alone; these activities include cooking and arts and crafts.

Adult led activities enable children to learn new skills and concepts and help language development through communication with staff and their peers.

Child led activities support Children’s independence, confidence, imagination, critical thinking and putting into practice their learning.

 

We plan our weekly timetable with the aim to include at least one extracurricular activity per day including; football, drama, music, offering a variety of activities for all to enjoy.

 

We encourage the children to re-set the resources and activities throughout the day, to support a sense of responsibility.

 




 

11:50 – 12:50

 The children enjoy a healthy nutritious meal provided by ‘The Yum Yum’s Food Company’.  The lunchtime menu consists of a warm lunch and warm dessert or fruit. 

 




 

12:50 – 3:10
